REPORT ON INTERNATIONAL GIRL CHILD DAY
As on October 11th 2023 the whole world celebrated Girl child day, STEMS also conducted a
special assembly to celebrate it.
In that assembly senior students as well as the students of our primary section participated.
An act was show by senior students that we should encourage every female to achieve her goals
whereas primary section girls of classes 4 and 5 inspired every girl and woman by representing
different women who have achieved great heights in their lives.
Five successful women were represented by our primary wing:
• Avantika of class V-B represented Ms. Kalpana K or Ms. Kalpana Kalahasti
Ms. Kalpana Kalahasti is known as one of the rocket women of Chandrayan-3 mission,
her position at Chandrayan-3 is of Associate Project Director
• Maira of class V-E represented Ms. Ritu Karidhal Srivastava
Ms. Ritu Karidhal Srivastava another rocket woman, is an award winning scientist and
has played a crucial role in Chandrayan-3 as Senior Scientist
• Inaya Suhail of class IV-A represented Ms. Jyoti Surekha Vennam
Ms. Jyoti Surekha Vennam became the first Indian archer who has won multiple gold
medals at the Asian Games 2023
• Arisha of class V-D represented Ms. Avani Chaturvedi
Squadron Leader Avani Chaturvedi is the first woman fighter pilot in the Indian Air force
to solo fly the MiG-21 Bison by making her mark in a field dominated by men.
• Vaishnavi Rana of class V-C represented Ms. Sudha Murty
Ms. Sudha Murty is an encouraging example of her age. She is an Indian educator and an
author as well and most importantly she is the chairperson of Infosys Foundation.
