Report on CISCE Zonal Skating Tournament 2026-2027

Venue: St. Thomas English Medium School, Meerut  

Date: 12.05.2026  

The CISCE Zonal Skating Tournament 2026-2027 was successfully organized at St. Thomas English Medium School, Meerut on 12th May 2026. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from 6 schools across the zone, bringing together young skaters to showcase talent, discipline, and sportsmanship.

St. Mary`s Academy, Meerut  

Sophia Girls School, Meerut  

St. Patrick’s Academy , Meerut  

Christu Jyoti Convent School, Baghpat  

St. Thomas English Medium School, Meerut

Inaugural Ceremony

The program commenced with the Introduction of the Event, followed by the Opening Prayer led by Mr. Rajiv Titus, invoking divine blessings for the smooth conduct of the meet.  

A warm welcome was extended to Madam Principal, whose presence added grace to the occasion. The formal inauguration was marked by the Lighting of the Lamp by Mrs. A. Deane ( Principal - St Thomas English Medium School, Meerut) and Mr. Akash Masih ( senior coordinator), symbolizing knowledge, unity, and the spirit of fair play.

The Introduction of Teams saw each school being presented with pride and discipline. As a token of appreciation, gifts were presented to the Managers and Coaches for their dedication and guidance.  

The spirit of sportsmanship was upheld when Misam Ali, Team Captain, administered the Athlete`s Oath on behalf of all participants.  

The inaugural session concluded with an address by the Principal Ma`am, who encouraged students to compete with integrity and give their best. She then officially declared the ~Meet Open~, and all participants proceeded to the skating field for the commencement of events.

Competitions and Results

The skating competitions were conducted in a well-organized manner throughout the day. After intense and healthy competition, St. Thomas English Medium School, Meerut emerged as the overall winner of the tournament and was awarded the Winner`s Trophy.

Closing Ceremony

The program culminated with a dignified Closing Ceremony. The ceremony included:  

Prize Distribution – Winners and participants were felicitated for their outstanding performances.  

Madam Principal addressed all teams, appreciating their efforts and sportsmanship, and formally declared the Meet Closed.  

Vote of Thanks and Closing Prayer

– The Senior Coordinator delivered the vote of thanks and led the closing prayer, expressing gratitude to all participants, guests, and organizers.

The event concluded on a warm note as teams and organizers proceeded for lunch, marking the end of a successful and memorable tournament.
