Independence Day

Upholding the spirit of patriotism the STEMS family celebrated the 74th Independence Day on 15th August with immense patriotic fervour, in the extraordinary situation arising due to the Pandemic the school organized an online ‘Face Painting’ Competition for classes two to twelfth, on the Theme – ‘Patriotic’. The children participated eagerly of course as it spelt a measure of relief from the ongoing online classes and promoted and tested their artistic skills.
As for the faculty, all came immaculately dressed in their traditional gear and the campus came alive after a long time as the school was closed due to the lock-down. Of course the novelty of the event lay in following the ‘new norm’ with masks firmly planted on all faces and taking full precautions of ‘Social Distancing’.
The day was commemorated with utmost patriotic zeal and ardour. The traditional flag hoisting took place with salute to the Tricolour.
Songs and patriotic speeches by the students on screen complemented the programme.
Mrs. A. Deane applauded the efforts of the teachers and students alike and exhorted them to feel responsible as pillars of the Nation and encouraged them to instill awareness and patriotic emotions amongst the children.
The entire event was aired live on our school’s ‘YouTube Channel’ to inspire the students by remembering the innumerable martyrs and unsung heroes who laid down their lives in order to ensure a better future for the generation to come.
